Chairman's Challenge 2010 is to visit 10 road & rail bridges
1. Kessock Bridge A9 2. Culloden Viaduct- nr B9006
3. Findhorn rail bridge by Tomatin (A9)
4. Glenfinnan Viaduct – A830
( when doing Glenfinnan, go past the visitors car park & take the next right into a small car park and
go down the private road for about 1/2 mile, you will see workshops on rhs, photo viaduct from there, we have permission.)
5. Ballachulish – A82
6. Skye Bridge A87
7. Sligachan bridge on Skye at junction with A87 & A863
8. Old road bridge on A939 by Glenfenzie
9. Rail bridge over R. Deveron B9022 to Rothiemay (access approved at Gordons kennels ask for Carol, approach from south)
10. A Free choice
Other possible bridges: -
Cullen viaduct,
Dornoch Firth,
Grant Castle rail bridge,
Bonar bridge,
Kylesku, but its your choice
Photographic proof to be presented to chairman 7th December 2010, certificates will be presented at February meeting 2011.
These runs can be done in any order, singly or in groups.
