Record of HCMC meeting held at the Chieftain Hotel, Inverness on Tuesday 6th December 2011 at 8pm.
The Chairman opened the meeting with a welcome to all on such an icy and inhospitable night.
PRESENT: 13 Members.

MATTERS ARISING
FROM AGM: The position of Newsletter Editor & Entertainments organiser still remain vacant, thus leaving 2 unfilled positions on the Committee.
BSA VICTOR SPECIAL: We now have 3 members who have expressed an interest in this machine, it has been agreed to auction the BSA in March 2012, date and time to be confirmed.
CHRISTMAS MEAL: The chairman mentioned that tonight is your last chance to confirm your place for the Christmas meal being held at the Fairways on Tuesday 13th December, 7 for 7.30pm, meal will be a Christmas Carvery.
CHILDREN IN NEED: The Chairman announced that £35.00 had been raised for Children In Need at the November club meeting.
CLUB NOTICES
CONTIN GALA: The club has been asked to help with promoting the Contin Gala by organising a vintage motorcycle rally, the Chairman mentioned that the club has agreed that it needs to promote itself  more and this seems like a good chance, this was agreed by members present and further dialogue will take place in 2012.
SVVF AGM: From the Chairman, the SVVF has had an overall loss of over £2500 this last year, sale of adverts down, book sales down, postage up (income£7387, out going £10,080). The results of the SVVF yearbook survey around Scotland, resulted in a proposal going forward to the SVVF AGM, which was suggested at the first meeting in Inverness by HCMC & Historic Wheels club reps, that  members would pay something to the cost of the year book, hence at the AGM it was agreed that each member would pay £1.00 to the cost of the year book, the SVVF rep would order books at the same time as making his returns to the SVVF, so as from next year, membership will go up by £1.00 and only those who renew their membership by the 30th September each year will be included in the list for the book, in other words, if you don’t renew your membership in time, no book till following year, the Chairman will order extra copies for new members joining, plus extra copies can be ordered at a cost of £4.00.
CHEQUE PRESENTATION: A Cheque for £100 was handed over to the Manager of the Chieftain Hotel by the Chairman as a token of thanks for allowing the HCMC free use of its rooms for membership and committee meetings on a regular basis.
REPORTS
27th NOVEMBER CLUB RUN: A grand total of 4 club members braved the Baltic conditions that awaited them at Nairn harbour on Sunday, the intrepid travellers ( 2 on motorcycles & 2 in a motor vehicle) then braved the rush hour (church) traffic as they made their way by the scenic route( town centre) to Broadley Garden Centre where they were duly treated to a slap up feast by Colin Rose who was the chauffeur to the recovering Andy Watt, Motorcyclists braving the elements were Brian Fieldsend riding a 4-cylinder 650cc Kawasaki and newly elected Runs Co-ordinator Will McCloskey on his Harley Davidson  Sportster whom I might add at this point managed to get the foursome completely lost in their search of aforementioned Coffee shop.
